Terms of Service
Last updated 14 October 2026
The rules for using flightanalyser, written to be read. Please read them carefully: they limit what you can rely on flightanalyser for, and our responsibility to you.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and flightanalyser (“flightanalyser”, “we”, “us”, “our”). They apply to the website, the analysis workspace, accounts, plans, reports, flight cards and every other part of the service (together, the “service”).
By using the service, creating an account or buying a plan, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. If you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it, and “you” includes that organisation.
2. What flightanalyser is, and what it is not
flightanalyser analyses recorded flight tracks and related flight information and presents the results as figures, charts, maps, reports and images. It is provided for information only.
- It is not a flight planning, navigation, air traffic, maintenance or safety tool, and must never be used for any operational, safety-critical or time-critical decision.
- Its results are not official records. They must not be relied on as evidence or as the basis of any claim, including claims against airlines, airports, insurers or authorities, or for any legal, financial, insurance or employment decision.
- Recorded flight data can be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate or affected by interference. Figures labelled “analysed” are our estimates, calculated from that data, and can differ from an operator’s own records.
- flightanalyser is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any airline, airport, aircraft manufacturer, air navigation service provider, authority or data provider. Names and marks of others belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
3. Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. To create an account or buy a plan, you must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and able to enter into a binding agreement.
You may not use the service if we have previously closed your account for a breach of these terms, or if the law prevents you from using it.
4. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date, including a working email address.
- An account is for one person. Do not share it, sell it or let others use it.
- Keep your password secret and your devices secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
- Tell us straight away at support@flightanalyser.com if you think someone else has used your account.
5. Plans, payments and renewals
Some features are available free of charge; others need a paid plan. What each plan includes, including its monthly allowances, is described where you choose it.
- Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You authorise us, or the payment provider acting for us, to charge your chosen payment method for each renewal.
- Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider or by a reseller that acts as the seller of record. Where a reseller sells the plan to you, its own terms also apply to the purchase, and it handles billing, taxes and payment support.
- We may change prices. A new price applies to an existing plan only from its next renewal after we have told you, at least 30 days in advance. If you do not accept it, cancel before that renewal.
- If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend paid features until it is settled. Reversing a payment you owe, for example through a chargeback, may lead us to close the account.
- Discounts and introductory offers apply only on the terms stated with them and cannot be combined unless we say so.
6. Cancelling and refunds
- You can cancel a paid plan at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the plan’s features until the end of the period already paid for.
- Payments are non-refundable, including for partly used periods and unused allowances, except where these terms say otherwise or the law that applies to you gives you a right to a refund.
- The service is digital and starts as soon as you buy. Where the law gives you a period in which to cancel a purchase, you ask us to start the service immediately and, where the law allows, you lose that right once you have used the service.
- If we end a paid plan for reasons other than your breach of these terms, we refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
7. Allowances and fair use
- Plans include allowances, such as a number of flight lookups each month. Monthly allowances renew each month on the date your paid plan started, or the date you created your account on the free plan (or on the last day of a month without that date), and do not carry over. Your account shows when your allowance next renews.
- The service also applies limits to everyone, for example on how many lookups can be made in a short time, so that it stays available. These limits may change.
- Use that is automated, excessive, or that looks designed to get around allowances or limits may be slowed, refused or suspended, even within a plan’s stated allowance.
8. What you must not do
When using the service, you must not:
- break any law, or help anyone else do so;
- use it to harass, stalk, threaten or monitor any person, or to track the movements of a specific individual or the aircraft of a private owner against their wishes;
- scrape, crawl or copy the service or its data by automated means, or use it to build, train or feed another product, database or service;
- resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute access to the service or the data it shows, except as the section on reports allows;
- get around allowances, limits, payments or security, for example by creating several accounts;
- reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the service, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
- probe, scan or test its security without our written permission, or overload or disrupt it;
- upload files containing malware, or content that is unlawful or infringes anyone’s rights;
- misrepresent results, present them as official, or use them to mislead anyone;
- use our name, logo or brand in a way that suggests we endorse you, or remove notices from our reports or images.
9. Files you upload
You keep any rights you have in the files you upload. Uploaded flight tracks are processed in your browser. If you save an upload to your account, you allow us to store it and process it only to provide the service to you.
You confirm that you have the right to upload each file and that it does not break any law or anyone’s rights. You are responsible for what you upload.
10. Reports, flight cards and how you may use them
PDF reports and flight cards are created in your browser from the analysis you are viewing. Subject to these terms, we let you download, keep, print and share them:
- for personal, non-commercial purposes; or, where your plan includes commercial use, also in your own commercial work such as videos, articles and client deliverables;
- with their branding, attribution and informational notice left in place, and without changing their figures or what they show;
- without presenting them as official records, or as produced or endorsed by anyone other than flightanalyser.
Reports may contain data from third parties. You may not extract that data from reports or images and redistribute it as data, for example as a spreadsheet, database or feed.
11. Flight data and third parties
The service uses flight data, reference data and services supplied by third parties, which may change, be restricted or stop being available. Their terms may limit what we can show, how long we can keep it, and what you may do with it, and we may have to change or remove features as a result.
Links to third-party websites are for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, products or practices.
12. Our rights
The service, including its software, design, text, analyses, methods, reports, images, name and logo, belongs to flightanalyser or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Apart from the limited right to use the service and its outputs under these terms, no rights are given to you. Open-source software used in the service is covered by its own licences, listed on our licences page.
13. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them for any purpose without paying you or owing you anything, and without identifying you.
14. Changes and availability
We work to keep the service available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free. We may change, add or remove features, carry out maintenance, or suspend or discontinue the service or any part of it, at any time.
If we make a change that substantially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can, and you may cancel and receive a refund of the unused part of the period you paid for.
Features marked as new, preview or beta are offered as they are, may change or end without notice, and may not work as expected.
15. No guarantees
To the fullest extent the law allows, the service and everything it produces are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty, guarantee or condition of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including about accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, satisfactory quality and non-infringement.
You use the service and rely on its results at your own risk. Nothing in it is professional, operational, legal or financial advice.
16. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive loss or damage, or for any loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, data or savings, or for missed flights or connections, delays, costs of travel or accommodation, or the outcome of any claim or decision, however it arises, even if we were told it was possible;
- our total liability for all claims relating to the service or these terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 50 US dollars;
- any claim must be brought within one year after the facts giving rise to it arose, or it is permanently barred, where the law allows such a limit.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Where the law does not allow a limit in full, our liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows.
17. Your responsibility to us
To the extent the law allows, you will defend, compensate and hold harmless flightanalyser and its contractors and suppliers against any claim, loss, liability, cost and expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, the files you upload, or the way you use or publish reports, images or other results.
18. Suspension and closure
- You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account from its settings.
- We may suspend or close your account, or restrict your access, at any time if you breach these terms, if we must for legal reasons, or to protect the service, other users or third parties. Where reasonable, we will tell you why. If the breach is serious or repeated, we do not refund any payment.
- When an account is closed, your right to use the service ends and we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
- The sections on reports, our rights, feedback, no guarantees, limits on our liability, your responsibility to us, disagreements and the general terms continue to apply after the account is closed.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in advance by email or on the site. For paid plans, a material change applies from your next renewal. If you continue to use the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the service and cancel any plan.
20. Disagreements and governing law
If you have a complaint, contact us first at support@flightanalyser.com. Most problems can be solved quickly that way, and we will try to do so in good faith.
These terms, and any dispute about them or the service, are governed by the laws of the country in which flightanalyser is established, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you use the service as a consumer, you keep any protection that the mandatory law of the country where you live gives you, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where that law allows.
To the extent the law allows, disputes are resolved individually, and not as part of any class, collective or representative action.
21. General
- These terms, the Privacy Policy and any terms shown when you buy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.
- If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect, and that part applies to the greatest extent allowed.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer these terms to another organisation, for example if the service is sold or reorganised, and your rights under them continue. You may not transfer them without our written consent.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of third-party data, networks, hosting or payment services.
- We may send notices to the email address on your account or show them on the site. These terms are written in English; any translation is for convenience, and the English version prevails.
