Last updated 14 October 2026

What flightanalyser collects, why, how long it keeps it, who processes it, and the choices you have.

The short version

  • No advertising, no tracking cookies, no third-party trackers, and we never sell your information.
  • Without an account, we only count usage anonymously. Files you upload, reports and flight cards stay in your browser.
  • With an account, we keep what it needs: your name, email, preferences, plan, saved flights and sign-in security records.
  • Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see full card numbers.
  • You can see, correct, export or delete your information at any time.

1. Who we are

flightanalyser (“flightanalyser”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. It covers the website, the analysis workspace, accounts, plans, reports and flight cards (together, the “service”). Using the service is also subject to our Terms of Service.

Questions and requests about your information: support@flightanalyser.com.

2. What we collect

When you use the site without an account

  • Anonymous usage events. We count what happens on the site, such as a page being opened, a flight being analysed, a tab being opened or a report being downloaded, with the route, airline and aircraft type involved, the country your connection comes from and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. These events carry no cookie, no device identifier, no network address and nothing else that could pick you out, and we never try to follow an individual visitor.
  • Fair-use counters. To stop the service being overloaded, we count lookups per connection each day. The counter is stored under a scrambled, one-way form of your network address that cannot be turned back into it, and it is deleted within 2 days.
  • Flight searches. When you look up a flight, the flight number or airports and the date you enter are sent to our server to retrieve recorded flight data from our data providers. The results are kept for up to 29 days so they can be reused, without any link to you.
  • Files you upload are read and analysed in your browser and are not sent to us, unless you save one to an account. PDF reports and flight cards are also made in your browser.
  • Your settings, such as units, theme and text size, are saved in your browser and stay on your device.
  • Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider receives your network address and basic browser information to deliver pages and protect the service from attacks. When you create an account, it also checks your browser to tell people from automated sign-ups. We do not add these to our own records.

When you create an account

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your password, which we store only in a scrambled one-way form; we never see or keep the password itself.
  • Your preferences, plan and how much of its monthly allowance you have used, including which flights you looked up.
  • Flights and uploads you choose to save.
  • The devices you are signed in on (a description of the browser and operating system, and when each signed in and was last used), so you can see them and sign them out.
  • A log of account activity, such as sign-ins and changes to your email address or password, to protect your account.
  • Short-lived records of failed sign-in and other attempts, stored under a scrambled form of the email address or network address, to stop password guessing.
  • The account emails we send you, and when they were sent.

When you buy a plan

Payments are handled by our payment provider, or by a reseller that sells the plan to you. They collect your payment details directly. We receive only what we need to run your plan, such as your plan, its status and renewal date, the amount paid, your billing country and a payment reference. We never receive or store full payment card numbers.

When you contact us or give feedback

We keep the messages you send us and our replies. Optional questions, such as what you would pay for, are anonymous unless you are signed in; please do not include personal details in comments.

3. How we use it

  • To provide the service you ask for: analysing flights, running lookups, keeping your account, saved flights and plan, and applying its allowances.
  • To keep the service and your account secure: preventing abuse, password guessing and fraud, and investigating problems.
  • To improve the service: understanding which features are used, from anonymous totals and, for signed-in customers, account usage.
  • To handle payments, invoices and taxes, together with our payment provider or reseller.
  • To communicate with you: account and service emails, such as confirmations, password resets, receipts and important changes. We send marketing emails only if you have agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time.
  • To meet legal obligations and to protect our rights, our users and the public.

We use your information only where we have a valid reason: because it is needed to provide the service you asked for, because it is in our legitimate interest to run, secure and improve the service in ways you would reasonably expect, because the law requires it, or because you have agreed. Where we rely on your agreement, you can withdraw it at any time.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means that have legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Cookies and storage on your device

  • Sign-in cookie. If you sign in, one cookie keeps you signed in. It is needed for your account to work and is removed when you sign out or it expires.
  • Settings. Your display settings are kept in your browser’s storage so the site looks the way you chose. They never leave your device.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies or third-party trackers, and our usage counting works without cookies. Because of that, the site does not need to ask for cookie consent. You can clear cookies and site storage in your browser at any time; you will be signed out and your settings will return to their defaults.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers who process it for us under contract and only on our instructions: hosting and content delivery, databases and storage, email delivery, and security. They may not use it for their own purposes.
  • Our payment provider or reseller, which processes payments and, where it acts as the seller, also handles your purchase under its own privacy policy.
  • Flight data providers receive the flight number, airports and dates of a lookup so they can return flight data. They do not receive your name, email address or account.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, where needed, under a duty of confidentiality.
  • Authorities, where we must by law, or where it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of flightanalyser, our users or others.
  • A buyer or successor, if the service is sold, merged or reorganised. Your information would remain protected by this policy, and we would tell you of any change in who is responsible for it.
  • Anyone else, only with your permission.

6. Where your information is processed

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours, which may have different data protection rules. Where that happens, we use providers that commit to protect it to the standard this policy describes, with contractual and other safeguards, and we keep information in your region where our providers allow.

7. How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

When you delete your account, we delete your account information and everything saved to it, apart from records we must keep by law, such as payment records. Information in backups is overwritten within 30 days.

8. How we protect it

We protect information with measures suited to its sensitivity, including encrypted connections, passwords stored only in scrambled one-way form, single-use links that expire, limits on repeated attempts, restricted access for the few people who need it, and logging of that access.

No service can be completely secure. If a security incident affects your personal information in a way that puts you at risk, we will tell you and any authority we are required to tell, without undue delay.

9. Your rights and choices

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete your information;
  • give you your information in a portable, machine-readable format;
  • limit or stop a use of your information you object to, including any marketing;
  • withdraw an agreement you gave us, without affecting what we did before.

You can do much of this yourself in your account settings: change your details, see and sign out devices, and delete your account. For anything else, write to support@flightanalyser.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We reply within 30 days, and we do not charge for reasonable requests. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Some requests may be limited, for example where we must keep information by law. We will tell you if so, and why. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection authority or regulator where you live.

10. Children

The service is not intended for children under 16, and accounts are for adults only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Information about aircraft and flights

Flight information in the service, such as positions, times, registrations and airline codes, comes from signals broadcast by aircraft and from flight data providers. It describes aircraft and flights, not passengers, and we do not collect information about anyone on board. If you own or operate an aircraft and have a privacy concern about how it appears in the service, contact us at support@flightanalyser.com; we will consider restricting what is shown.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you in advance by email or on the site.
